Some may say that accepting gifts in some cases is selfish and unethical. In the scenario about the Major of a large city that accepted many generous gifts from organizations that he hasn’t done business with and a free membership to an exclusive golf club from organizations that he has done business with, I would say that his decision to accept gifts and a free membership was ethical. I believe his decision represented greater good because he most likely accepted the gifts out of courtesy.
