Carbon Footprint Calculation

This week we began our discussion of climate change and carbon emissions.  The United States has one of the highest average carbon emissions rates per person (average of about 20 metric tons per year).  Look at the website http://www.carbonfootprint.com/calculator.aspx and calculate your own personal carbon footprint.  Be sure to look at the primary factors the tool uses in its calculation and think about how you rate yourself for each factor.  Then think about how a person living in a developing nation might rate on these same factors.  Can you think of any ways that you might consider reducing your personal carbon footprint and as a result reduce our country’s overall GHG emissions?
